The whole concern seems to be centered around giving more power to the government.We are always told scare tactics that happened in fully socialized or Communist countries. The Government is not perfect by any means but it may very well be a better solution than the corruption that we are currently dealing with.
As for power, if we recognize how many programs are government run already we will realize that the solution lies somewhere in the middle. We are not totally free-market right now. It does not make us Communists to have socialized healthcare.
Political talkshow hosts always talk in extremes and try to make you believe that any solution left of middle is actually a far far radical liberal maniac extreme solution. It's hard finding the perfect balance of Government intervention and free market solutions but it WILL BE found somewhere in the middle.
