My Dear Crichton,

I just wanted to let you know how much I love you. You are so amazing - you have no idea how much you've taught me in the 6 years I've been your mom. I never understood love until I met you, then it all snapped into focus as I stared into your eyes. Thank you so much for all the times you've forgiven me and hugged me and made me laugh. Thank you for allowing me to really stretch myself as a person, to get a glimpse of my purpose in life. You're my first pancake, my experiment, and I'm sure there are a lot of things I should have done differently, but so far you've turned out brilliantly, despite what I've done to you.

Trust in God - your faith and testimony are already so strong; don't let doubt blind you to the Truth. You're only my child on lease. You will always belong to God, first. His giving you to me to raise and love has been, by far, the best gift I have ever received. Know that he is always there for you - ask and you shall receive.

You have so much potential. Your mind is quick and your focus is powerful. Be confident and be kind. Life is short and precious, don't squander a moment - find the beauty and joy in every situation and remember your attitude is all you can really control, choose to be happy.

Never, never doubt how much your mom loves you - Love is a special bond, stronger than anything in the universe. You and I are eternally connected.
