There's this blog this Utah Mom writes and it's moderately entertaining to me, not one I read every day, but weekly or so. What interests me more is that she makes freaking money off her blog and I want to, too, and she's not all so much more amazing a writer than me and so why can't I make oodles of money and be interviewed on TV about my blog writing, too?
But then I read her post, linked above, and I was much more impressed. I felt a connection, like she had answered some questions I had vaguely asked myself, addressed some concerns I had twinges of guilt about, and made some great points about things I hadn't even thought about, but really should have.
More than all that, she, without knowing me, included me among a beautiful amazing community of unique voices; unique to each other and unique to history. People have been mothers, well, for ever, but there is SO very little documentation about the experience, as if history could ignore our contributions. But not anymore.
So, I proudly add my sometimes hysterical voice to all those other blogging mommies, and the other beautiful unique individuals who are putting their lives and their thoughts and really, themselves out in the universe for all of us to see. I think it makes the world closer and gives us more types of beauty to savor.
