It's been 8 days and Sagan is still alive! She's become less of a party girl at night: 2 nights in a row now she woke up twice to be fed and diaper changed and promptly went back to a snuggley slumber. Even in her crib if I'm not too lazy to put her there. On nights I and/or she are too awake, we watch a couple more episodes of Gilmore Girls ... the theme song is her favorite lullaby, we've gotten to season 4 - the Yale years.
I think I have a clogged duct or something. I woke up this morning and it felt like someone had used my right boob for a punching bag! Greg WedMD-ed for me and the treatment was to keep emptying out the boob, keep the milk flowing, and hope it doesn't turn into mastitis. Good thing I got that handy dandy manual breast pump; I'm a regular cow.
If you happen to be wondering which pump to buy, just in case, let me recommend a manual hand pump, cheap, simple, easy. Well, if you plan on mostly breast feeding, but would like a pump for occasional bottle sessions or to help with the pain of engorgement and clogged milk ducts - just get the manual, hand pump. I've used the battery kind and it hurt. The hand pump gives you the power and control.
Well, I've gotta go feed baby girl. Perhaps watch another Gilmore Girls episode. Greg's not too sure that Lorelei is the best maternal example for me to follow, but you've got to admit, they've got a pretty good relationship, Lorelei and Rory, at least as far as communication goes. I heard a story once, that a Gilmore Girls' script every week was about 3 or 4 times larger than any other hour long show on TV.

2 Brilliant Bits of Inspiration:
She's so pretty and you look GREAT! Who does she look like? Our side or Greg's? I can't decide:)
I can never tell, but I like to think she looks a little like me
